Once upon a time there was a sweet little yarn shop in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts.

Meta and John and their ever-smiling staff opened cartons of yarn, they shelved skeins of color and texture, and they opened the doors six days a week to knitters from just about everywhere.

Not so fast. In 2020 Metaphor Yarns reemerges as online knitting classes. Meta has been teaching knitting to online students throughout the year, from the novice to the advanced knitter, and having as much fun as she did running the shop.
In the mists of history someone came up with the handy idea of taking two sticks and a piece of string and manipulating it to make fabric. So the once upon a time story became a now time story. Knitting doesn’t end, it just gets an internet twist.

Come inside and see what Metaphor Yarns – Meta -- is doing.
